It was Kim Kardashian’s New Year’s Resolution to eat better in 2008, but it seems that junk food still has a massively powerful effect over her.

She tells People,

I figured just eating well would help me lose five pounds or so. It’s so hard to eat well because I love so many unhealthy foods. I just can’t stop eating junk. It’s awful!
I decided not to have pancakes, because those aren’t good for me and I didn’t want the carbs. So what did I get? Chicken strips. I knew they were bad for me, but they were worth it.

I’ve got a personal trainer who keeps me active. I work my butt and legs just about every day, and I do cardio to burn fat. I’ve actually started videotaping my workouts so I can do them on the road. I’m going to start selling the videos soon on my Web site so that others can do the same workout that I do. They’re short videos, but if you do them one right after the other, it’s a really good workout.

Almost 50-years-old and still kicking ass…that’s Madonna for ya! What an inspiration. And who said she wouldn’t last!? Oh yeah, an editor for Billboard told Jay Cocks in 1985: “Cyndi Lauper will be around a long time. Madonna will be out of the business in six months.”

In the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair, Madonna spoke about NY, about Africa, about her career, about the music business, about her husband, and much more.

A highlight from the article regarding the paparazzi:

The paparazzi are out of control. I haven’t been to Los Angeles in quite a while, and I don’t watch television here or in England, and I was told there’s now a television show where the paparazzi are the stars of the show—is that true? That they film each other doing paparazzi jobs? Which gives them more fuel. I usually found that type kept their distance—they definitely do in England, because it’s illegal to photograph children. But that’s not how it is here. They get this close, and don’t care how much they scare your children. Being famous has changed a lot, because now there’s so many outlets, between magazines, TV shows, and the Internet, for people to stalk and follow you. We created the monster.

Madonna spoke of Africa: “If you’ve got one iota of compassion, you can’t ignore what’s going on. You have to figure out a way to be a part of the solution.”

Madonna spoke of New York, how it’s changed: “It’s not the exciting place it used to be. It still has great energy; I still put my finger in the socket. But it doesn’t feel alive, cracking with that synergy between the art world and music world and fashion world that was happening in the 80s. A lot of people died.”

She spoke of the music business: “Well, there’s one thing you can’t download and that’s a live performance. And I know how to put on a show, and enjoy performing, and I’ll always have that.”

She spoke of the long career: “Honestly, it’s not something I sit around ruminating about. Who is my role model and how long can I keep this going? I just move around and do different things and come back to music, try making films and come back to music, write children’s books and come back to music.”

She spoke of Guy Ritchie: “We make different kinds of movies. I don’t have the technical knowledge he has. He’s got a vision, and his films are very testosterone-fueled. Mine are much more from a female point of view, and I can’t help but be autobiographical in everything I do.”

David and Victoria Beckham’s wax figures that will be featured in a special one day only ‘Kissing Booth’ at the Cherry Blossom Soccer Tournament in Washington DC. That’s cool, except, Posh already looks like a wax figure so I’m sure that if they had the real deal there no one would be able to tell the difference anyway.

She recently told E! that she wants to “go save” Britney Spears, and now Madonna is taking things a step further in the latest issue of Vanity Fair magazine.

Of Britney’s “very painful” situation Madge commented, “When you think about the way people treat each other in Africa, about witchcraft and people inflicting cruelty and pain on each other, then come back here and, you know, people taking pictures of people when they’re in their homes, being taken to hospitals, or suffering, and selling them, getting energy from them, that’s a terrible infliction of cruelty. So who’s worse off?”

Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway put on their running shoes and headed out in New York City for the filming of their new movie Bride Wars.

On what was a cold Monday morning, the newly matched co-stars laughed in between jogs as they finished up filming in the Big Apple, readying for a move to Boston to complete the flick.

Seems that from his MySpace, that Larry Rudolph is back to managing Britney Spears, which, if true, is the best possible thing that can happen right now.

Britney’s father, Jamie, has already put his foot down and stopped whatever nonsense she was experiencing, and with Larry on her side, a successful comeback seems very very bright. Afterall, he did literally CREATE her career and her image.

Interesting…

She’s one of the most-looked-at women in America, but that doesn’t stop Kim Kardashian from eating whatever she wants.  And she recently explained that when it comes to dieting, she’s a little lacking in the willpower department.

At the beginning of 2008, Kim made a resolution to eat healthy for the New Year.  But three months in, she’s admittedly failing miserably.
